Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Akshay Kuber Kaushik ("we", "us", "our"), an individual sole proprietor operating ReelSchedule, collects and uses your personal data. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

1. Personal data we collect

• Account data: name, email, login credentials, profile picture.
• Connected accounts: OAuth tokens and public profile information from YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and Pinterest accounts you connect.
• Content: videos, images, captions, titles, hashtags, and schedule data you upload.
• Subscription information: billing status and plan details returned by our payment processor (we do not store card details).
• Usage & device data: IP address, browser and device identifiers, pages visited, and error logs.
• Support messages: emails and messages you send us.

1a. OAuth permissions & connected social accounts

When you connect a social account, we request only the OAuth scopes required to publish content on your behalf and to display basic account metadata (such as channel/page name and avatar). We never post without an action you scheduled, we do not read private messages, and we do not sell or share your OAuth data with third parties. You can disconnect any account at any time from Channels, which revokes our stored tokens.

1b. Token storage

Access and refresh tokens issued by connected platforms are stored server-side with row-level access controls and are encrypted in transit. They are only accessed by the publishing worker to publish content you have scheduled.

2. Purposes & legal basis

• Creating and operating your account, and providing the Service (contract performance).
• Publishing your content to your connected platforms (contract performance).
• Security, fraud prevention, and abuse detection (legitimate interests).
• Product improvement and analytics (legitimate interests).
• Responding to support enquiries (contract / legitimate interests).
• Marketing communications where you have opted in (consent).
• Meeting legal, tax, or accounting obligations (legal obligation).

3. Sharing your data

We share personal data with:

• Service providers / subprocessors such as our hosting, database, storage, and analytics providers.
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for sale of the Service, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing.
• YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and Pinterest, when you authorise us to publish content or read metadata for your connected accounts.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where necessary.
• Authorities where required by law.

4. International transfers

Personal data may be processed in countries other than your own, including India, the EEA, the UK, and the US. Where applicable, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses as safeguards.

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep account and content data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You can request full account and data deletion at any time by emailing privacy@reelschedule.com; we will delete your account, uploaded media, and stored tokens within 30 days unless we're required to retain specific records by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent. EEA/UK users can also complain to their supervisory authority. We aim to respond within one month. Email privacy@reelschedule.com to exercise a right.

7. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, and least-privilege backend access — to protect your data. No system is 100% secure, but we take our obligations seriously.

8. Cookies & analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember preferences. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate product usage; you can manage cookie preferences in your browser.
